Not long after making his exit from Fler, Fred Lowan, alongside his brother Howard Lindsey, co-founded ‘Twen’ in the back half of the 1960’s.
Twen shortly renamed to Tessa, which has since became a house-hold name synonymous with quality Australian design.
Designed between 1968-1970, the ‘Twen T2’ armchair was the earliest iteration/prototype of what is now known as the ever-popular Tessa.
This particular chair has been fully restored. The beautifully curved black-bean armrests have been stripped, lightly sanded and refinished to once again show off the wonderful colours in the grain. The timber feet have also been completely sanded and refinished.
The chair itself has been completely dismantled and refreshed with all new webbing, foam, dacron and a lovely ivory textured fabric from Zepel fabrics, featuring stain resistant properties.
