Pair of Fred Lowen designed Tessa ‘T5’ Armchairs from the 1970’s.
This design is very reminiscent of Danish designer, Han Wegners GE 290 Plank Armchairs. These chairs are low, but offer generous proportions are very comfortable to sit in.
These have just undergone a fully restoration, having their old dark stain professionally stripped, sanded and refinished in a durable hard wax oil by Richard from Mid-Century Furniture Restoration Melbourne. The frames now showcase a lighter timber and present exceptionally well.
Brand new webbing, high-density foam and fabric, featuring a newly released, premium Italian weave from Mokum.
The original canvas slings are still in very good condition, and feature a patina that compliments their character. Frames are nice and sturdy.
