Rattan-back armchair from Parker’s flagship ‘Nordic’ range, circa early 1960’s.
One of Parker’s most coveted chairs, this particular design is rarely seen, featuring a sleek, low-lying profile with a generous seat.
This chair has undergone a complete restoration. The frames have been fully pulled apart and reglued, ensuring all joins are solid. The Blackwood timber has been fully stripped, sanded and refinished. The original rattan is still perfectly intact and has developed a lovely patina that is only achieved by decades of life.
New webbing, foam and fabric, featuring a black and grey textured fabric from Zepel Fabrics with stain-resistant properties. There has been repairs carried out to one of the legs, I would typically sell these at $2400 each, however I have reduced the price of this particular chair to accomodate for the repairs.
